Located at 5110 River Rd, Bethesda, MD 20816, Shell operates as a car wash serving Bethesda in Maryland. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as auto repair shop, gas station, convenience store, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Car washes in the United States come in four main formats: the express tunnel, where you stay in the car while a conveyor pulls it through brushes or high-pressure jets; the full-service wash, where attendants vacuum and wipe down the interior after the tunnel; the self-service bay with a coin or card-operated pressure wand, foam brush and vacuums; and the hand wash, where a crew washes and dries the car by hand. Touchless tunnels skip the cloth brushes entirely and rely on chemicals and water pressure, which is gentler on paint but less effective on heavy grime. Most express chains sell an unlimited monthly plan, usually priced at two to three single washes, that is only worth it if you wash more than twice a month. Gas stations often bundle a discounted wash with a fill-up.

I just moved to this area and needed some service on my Range Rover. I was recommended Shell Repair Shop on River Road by one of my colleague. Adam was the one who greeted me, very energetic man, he made me feel like HOME. Excellent Auto Repair shop! Very professional and honest. Angel was very knowledgeable and explained in detail the repair and service that was being provided. Communication and status of my vehicle was also provided and explained in detail. I received pictures of my vehicle before and after AMAZING …. The quality of the work was outstanding and the pricing was also very reasonable. River Road Shell is my Repair Shop from now on. If you are considering taking your vehicle somewhere let it be “RIVER ROAD SHELL” you and your vehicle will not be disappointed. Thank you Team. Highly Recommended!!!

With Adam & his crew I had an outstanding experience with this repair shop from start to finish. The level of professionalism, honesty, and customer service exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff was courteous, knowledgeable, and took the time to carefully listen to my concerns. They performed a thorough inspection, clearly explained the issue with my vehicle, and provided a detailed estimate before any work began. I appreciated that they answered all of my questions without making me feel rushed or pressured. The repairs were completed on time, and the quality of the workmanship was exceptional. My vehicle now runs better than it has in a long time, and it's clear that the technicians take pride in their work and pay close attention to detail. Throughout the process, they kept me informed of the progress and were completely transparent about the repairs and costs. There were no hidden fees or unexpected charges, which gave me confidence that I was dealing with an honest and trustworthy business. Finding a repair shop that combines technical expertise with genuine customer care can be difficult, but this team delivered on both. Their commitment to quality,

I can’t share enough great review about the service I received at the repair shop. I first met Adam and Angel when I had a subaru that wouldn’t quit overheating. They fix it multiple times and they were able to repair everything at fair cost. They take great care of all of their customers and treat us like we are their family. They’ll do the same for you too. They’re more than just mechanics they are awesome people as well. I’ve been going to them and will continue to. Please if you need any car help they are the ones to go to!
